1. Introduction
Master Pool Decks ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website masterpooldecks.com (the "Site"). We are a pool deck resurfacing and concrete coating company based in Phoenix, Arizona.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site, call us, or send a quote request, what we use it for, and who we share it with. It describes the tools that are actually installed on the Site today.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Give Us in a Quote Form
Our quote forms ask for some or all of the following. Only your name and phone number are required on most forms:
- Full name, so we know who we are calling
- Phone number, so we can call you about your project
- Email address (optional on most forms), so we can send you a confirmation and your written quote
- ZIP code, service needed, timeline and project details, when a form asks for them or you choose to add them
With each request the form also sends: the page you sent it from, the first page you visited on our Site (your "landing page"), your cookie choice (accepted, declined or not yet chosen), any Google Ads click ID (gclid, gbraid, wbraid) and campaign tags (UTM parameters) from the ad link you clicked, and a random request ID used to avoid counting the same request twice. Our server also records your IP address and the result of our spam checks.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, the tools listed in Section 3 can collect:
- Device and browser information, such as browser type, operating system and screen size
- Usage data, such as pages visited, time on page, clicks (including taps on our phone number) and the site that referred you
- IP address, which can indicate your approximate location
- Cookies and similar identifiers used by analytics and advertising tools
Information Stored in Your Browser
The Site saves a few small values in your own browser's local storage: your cookie choice (cookie_consent), and, in mpd_attr, any Google Ads click ID and campaign tags from an ad link plus the first page you visited. The mpd_attr values expire after 90 days. They stay on your device and are only sent to us if you submit a quote form. After a form is sent, the page also remembers, for that browser tab only, the request ID and whether you entered an email address (yes or no, never the address itself) so the thank-you page can show the right message.
3. Tracking Technologies & Cookies
Your Cookie Choice Comes First
We use Google Consent Mode. Google's analytics and advertising storage is set to "denied" by default, and stays denied until you click "Accept" in our cookie banner. While it is denied, Google tags send limited, cookieless signals and do not set Google advertising or analytics cookies. If you click "Decline", the Meta Pixel and the OpenAI pixel described below are not loaded on later pages, and the quote form tells our server not to send your request to Meta or OpenAI. Your choice is saved in your browser; clearing your browser's site data resets it and shows the banner again.
Google Tag Manager (GTM-KPQKJJKQ)
A tool that loads tags on the Site. It does not collect personal information by itself.
Google Analytics 4 (G-TN9QZGMPK5)
Measures how visitors use the Site: pages viewed, time on page, traffic sources, approximate location and device type. We also record events such as a submitted quote form (with the page and form it came from) and a tap on our phone number.
Google Ads (AW-17614863274), Including Enhanced Conversions and Call Tracking
Measures which ads lead to quote requests and phone calls, and can show our ads to people who visited the Site.
- Enhanced conversions: when you submit a quote form, your email address, phone number and, where available, your name and ZIP code are sent to Google so Google can match the request to an ad click. Google normalizes and hashes (one-way encodes) these values before using them for matching.
- Call tracking: visitors who arrive from a Google ad may see a Google forwarding phone number instead of our main number. Calls to that number ring through to us, and Google reports call details such as start time, duration and the caller's area code so we can tell which ads lead to calls.
- Click IDs: if you came from a Google ad, the click ID is saved with your quote request so we can later tell Google which ads led to booked jobs.
Meta Pixel (794101103703517)
Measures the results of our Facebook and Instagram ads and helps Meta show our ads to people likely to be interested. It records page views, quote requests and phone-number taps, and Meta may link this activity to your Facebook or Instagram account. It does not load after you click "Decline".
OpenAI Ads Measurement Pixel (8PrRKVaQsxV7PAahyEFbEJ) and Conversions API
Measures the results of our ads on OpenAI's platforms (such as ChatGPT). The pixel in your browser records quote requests and phone-number taps and may set its own cookies. When you submit a quote form, our server also sends that request to OpenAI's Conversions API with: your email address, phone number and first and last name, each hashed (one-way encoded) before it is sent; your ZIP code if you gave one; your IP address; your browser's user agent; the page address; and the request ID. None of this happens after you click "Decline".
Google reCAPTCHA v3
Protects our forms from spam. It analyzes signals such as how the page is used and information about your device and browser, and sends them to Google. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to you: call you back, schedule a site visit and prepare your free written quote
- Do the work: carry out the job and honor our 2-year workmanship warranty
- Improve the Site: see which pages help people and which do not
- Measure our advertising: learn which ads and pages lead to quote requests and calls, as described in Section 3
- Stop spam and abuse: reCAPTCHA, a hidden spam-trap field, a minimum time before a form can be sent, and a limit on how many requests one connection can send in a short time
- Meet legal obligations that apply to us
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for purposes unrelated to those above without your permission.
5. Third-Party Services
These companies receive data from the Site as described above. Each has its own privacy policy:
Google LLC

Our Hosting and Email Providers
The Site is hosted by IONOS, which runs the server that receives quote forms. Quote requests are emailed to our business inbox (Google Gmail). These providers process the data only to host the Site and deliver our email.
7. Data Retention
Each quote request is kept in three places: the email sent to our business inbox, a submission log on our web server, and a lead list on our web server (a spreadsheet file with your name, phone, email, city, service, ad click ID, the page and landing page, and whether the job was booked) that we use to report booked jobs back to Google Ads. We keep them as follows:
- Quote requests and the server log: up to 3 years from the date of the request, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first
- Records of jobs we complete: up to 5 years, for warranty, legal and business records
- Spam-protection records: the request-limit record keeps only a one-way hash of your IP address and the times of recent requests, and is cleared within minutes
- Analytics data: kept in Google Analytics according to our GA4 data-retention setting
- Advertising data: kept by Google, Meta and OpenAI under their own retention policies

8. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including:
- HTTPS encryption for everything sent between your browser and the Site
- Server rules that block public web access to the submission log and lead list
- Spam and abuse protection on our forms (reCAPTCHA, a spam-trap field, a minimum time to submit, and a per-connection request limit)
- Access to lead information limited to the people who need it to serve you
No method of sending or storing data over the Internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information:
Right to Know
You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which the information was collected, the business purpose for collecting the information, and the categories of third parties with whom we share the information.
Right to Delete
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information that we have collected, subject to certain exceptions (such as legal compliance or completing a transaction).
Right to Opt Out of Sale
We do not sell your personal information as defined under the CCPA. However, sending data to advertising partners (Google Ads, the Meta Pixel and OpenAI, described in Section 3) may count as "sharing" under the CCPA. You can opt out of that sharing by clicking "Decline" in our cookie banner, or by contacting us directly.
Right to Non-Discrimination
You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of quality for exercising your rights.
Exercising Your Rights
To exercise any of the rights described above, please contact us using the information in the Contact Us section below. We will verify your identity before fulfilling your request and respond within 45 days as required by law. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
10. Do Not Track Signals
Some web browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Because there is no universally accepted standard for how to respond to DNT signals, our Site does not currently respond to DNT browser signals. However, you can manage your tracking preferences through your browser cookie settings and the opt-out links provided in the Third-Party Services section above.
11. Children's Privacy
Our Site is not directed at individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 16 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
